The ASEAN Vision 2020, adopted by the ASEAN Leaders on the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN, agreed on a shared vision of ASEAN as a concert of Southeast Asian nations, outward looking, living in peace, stability and prosperity, bonded together in partnership in dynamic development and in a community of caring societies.

In this regard, the ASEAN Community is comprised of three pillars, namely the ASEAN Political - Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community. Each pillar has its own Blueprint, and, together with the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Strategic Framework and IAI Work Plan Phase II (2009-2015), they form the Roadmap for and ASEAN Community 2009-2015.

Specifically, the CHA-AM HUA HIN DECLARATION stated to emphasize the Educational Cooperation and Promote human capital development within ASEAN. Also to promote the people-centered and socially responsible with a view to achieving enduring solidarity and unity among the nations and peoples of ASEAN.

In building the capacity of ASEAN Educational Cooperation Siam University has perceived its incremental importance about ASEAN in all 3 pillars, they are: ASEAN Economic Community, ASEAN Political and Security Pillar and ASEAN Socio- Cultural Pillar. Education comes under the ASEAN Socio- Cultural Pillar, the aim of which is to enhance the growth of every community, as this is seen as being the development foundation. We have commenced the first step by establishing the ASEAN Community Studies Center in order to promote and alleviate Education on ASEAN Studies by arranging the course "ASEAN in the Modern World" for first year students of faculty of Business and Administration. Consequently, we have tried to build up the sense of being ASEAN to every students and University officers to get prepared and ready for the very big milestones strategically planned. As well as to promote the Connectivity and Cooperation among other universities in ASEAN about the Credit transfer.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Education will set out to promote Thailand as being an education center of ASEAN in the areas of religion and culture. This policy will be implemented under the 6 months - 6 qualities strategy. This is in order to continually develop Thailand’s move forward to both ASEAN and International Communities.
