On 16 December 2011, Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President of Siam University, chaired the closing ceremony of the 8th University Basketball League teams. During the final game, Siam University won the 8th Basket Ball league Competition against the team of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, by the score of 61 to 47. Siam University was awarded with the trophy of HRH Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. While No. 2 and No. 3 position was captured by Hua Chiew Chalermprakiet University and Thammasat University.
