As the President Emeritus of International Association of University Presidents, Dr.Pornchai Mongkhonvanit was Invited to attend the IAUP Executive Committee Meeting and Council of Senior Advisors meeting in Baden, Austria during October 14-17, 2011. Due to uncertain circumstances, Dr. Pornchai could not attend so Ms. Yhing Sawheny represented him in this meeting. In this meeting, she presented to the IAUP/UN Commission on Disarmament Education, Conflict Resolution and Peace about the UN International Day of Peace celebration at Siam University on 19 September 2011 for the second time in Thailand. The members were quite impressed with Siam University contribution towards the Peace movement and appreciated the students and whole team of Siam University. Additionally, the members concluded that all IAUP Members specifically the IAUP Regional council should make an active move towards Peace and Sustainable development for the better future.
